My first 5k

I finished in 50 minutes...I was not last.  I would say it was a success and I am so lucky to have a great group of people to cheer me on!

Water Drop Photos = WIN

Another thing checked off my "photography hit list".  Took about 100 photos for me to figure out how to get the drops in focus but I got it!

Shin Splints = FAIL

Hoping my pain will go away by the 5K on Saturday and that I don't die.

in 45 minutes!  WOOT!  When I started it took me almost 60 minutes.  Maybe on race day I won't die.

Today

Today I cleaned like my Mami taught me.  This involves removing knobs from the oven, grabbing a ladder and taking down lights to clean, cleaning blinds one by one, windows inside and out, moving the fridge to clean the floor.... you get the idea.  Now I'm sitting in the living room enjoying the extra light coming in through my clean windows and the fresh smell of a clean house.  Sadly I only got through cleaning the living room and kitchen this way today but at least I know it was thorough!

It makes me sad to cook dinner now and mess up my pristine counters.  Oh well, at least we can enjoy some bistec with arroz con habichuelas!
