Count Your Blessings Tuesdays

Before I go on to all the things I have to be grateful for today, I need to get out one thing I'm NOT grateful for and that is TWO more grad class meetings.  :(

Ok, on to the awesome blessing that is my life...

Today I am grateful for:

  • continuing with my exercise routine
  • treating myself and having a hubby that takes care of T so I can go and do that (massage scheduled for Thursday! WOOT!)
  • productivity
  • chats on the phone with my mom
  • a certain big eyed silly boy who keeps saying the cutest things in the world
  • a husband that finds me hot

It's past 12 and I'm up....

for the second time this week.  I've been stressing out and working on my grad project that is due Wednesday and I am happy to announce that it is DONE.  D-O-N-E, done!  At least the parts I was responsible for are finished... one more meeting and I can say PEACE OUT to this very very painful and time consuming class.

Fitness Thursday #16

It's difficult to keep up with the exercise!  T keeps going to bed later and later so our usual 7-7:30 bedtime no longer works with him.  This means I end up working out closer to 9pm and by 9pm I am beat!  Regardless, I have worked out more times than not this week so that's good : )  

I can tell that I'm getting stronger and leaner and feel better overall-- so it's worth it to me to stuff my feet in tennis shoes at 9pm and sweat it out.

you exercise and then pass out face flat on the floor after stretching in "child's pose."  Thanks go out to hubby for getting me a blanket and then dragging me upstairs.

Count your Blessings Tuesday

Today I am grateful for:

  • a highly productive weekend (cleaned out basement closet, threw away 5 bags of crap, donated a TON of stuff, dismantled and cleaned vacuum and then vacuumed, cleaned up living room, planted a garden, bathed the dog... and I'm sure I'm forgetting something)
  • gorgeous weather and being outside with my little guy
  • all the firsts that I get to experience with T and getting to re-live childhood through his eyes --kite flying, riding a scooter, blowing bubbles... all so simple and so full of joy
  • eskimo and butterfly kisses and un-prompted "I love yous"
  • feeling energized and good about myself and my choices
  • Mom's surgery going well
  • LIFE :)

Getting down and dirty...

I made a trip to Home Depot (which can be dangerous) and came home with more than I planned to get.  Our backyard is taking shape and turning out to be my sanctuary for the spring/summer :)  Check it out!

Date Nights

I don't know if you noticed but I stopped posting about our date nights on Fridays.  This lack of posting doesn't mean that Date Nights are dead!  We've been having date night every Friday but we decided to make them movie nights.  Having to come up with ideas at the end of every week became a chore and we didn't want that.  We can still plan special date nights every now and then but for now we have a standing movie night :)

Another good week!  Worked out every day for 30 minutes.  I only had some minor slips in the diet but they were necessary ;)

I'm feeling good about myself and what I'm doing... even trying to dress the part too.  Yay!

Woot?!!! After July I think I may be closer to my lens!  I thought I probably wouldn't make enough to get it this year but it looks like I just may!  Now, my business is not really making a profit since I'll be using the money I make to buy equipment FOR the business.... but isn't all business that way?  A lot of loss in the beginning and then it's all gains?  Oh well, I have fun doing it regardless ;)

Fitness Thursday #14

AWESOMENESS 

That pretty much summarizes this week.  I've been eating healthy and working out EVERY day for 30 minutes.... sweating so much I have to go directly to the shower after working out.  

I feel great about myself and what I'm doing and I hope to keep it up.  I'm grateful for C because he's been cheering me on and exercising with me.   Go us!

Yard work!!

Woman on a mission...

The weather is fabulous so I went to pull out my summer clothes and they don't fit.  I had a complete meltdown/set back moment yesterday and then stopped feeling down on myself since that doesn't help matters.  I guess my exercise plan was too little too late so I've given up just about everything I enjoy eating.   I'm not eating candy/dessert, no regular soda (although I had already cut that one out) and limit of one Coke Zero a day... otherwise drink water and my morning OJ.  I'm also cutting back on cheese and bread.  I'm going to stick to salads, protein (lean chicken or seafood) and veggies, low fat yogurt and fruits.  So far so good although it's day one and a half ;)  I made C and T grilled cheese sandwiches with carrots and ranch dressing and made myself a big salad instead.  I LOVE grilled cheese and had no problems feeding it to them and not have it for myself.  I am determined.  Help me out people!

Fitness Thursday #13

Well, kind of a fail this week since I've been under the weather.  I missed two workout days since the last check in but that's not so bad considering.   I think I can proudly say I've worked out a whole month without fail.  Go me!! :)
